X Policy

@NTMA_IE is the official X (Formerly Twitter) account of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA). You can see the NTMA profile and posts at www.x.com/ntma_ie

Thank you for taking the time to read this policy. The NTMA will review it from time to time and may amend it. Please check this page periodically to make sure you are aware of any changes.

What to expect

If you follow the NTMA Account, you can expect posts covering some or all of the following:

  • News about the NTMA
  • Website content
  • Occasional live coverage of events that we are attending or hosting
  • Reposts of content from other X (Formerly Twitter), users that may interest NTMA followers. Being reposted by the NTMA does not imply endorsement.

Following

If you follow @NTMA_IE, the account will not automatically follow you back. However, if the NTMA account does choose to follow you it does not imply endorsement of any kind.

@Replies and Direct Messages

The NTMA welcomes suggestions and ideas from its followers but cannot reply individually to all the messages received via X (Formerly Twitter) and the limitations of the X (Formerly Twitter) format means that it would not always be able to give you a full and useful reply. The best way to get in touch with the NTMA is via the Contact Us page.

Please do not include personal/private information in your posts to the NTMA.

The NTMA X (Formerly Twitter) stream is not intended to be used for media contact. If you are a member of the media, you should contact the NTMA press office via ntma@gordonmrm.ie

Hashtags

X (Formerly Twitter) users often use the hashtag (#) sign to mark keywords in a post, enabling other users to connect content and conversations around a particular topic. The NTMA may refer to existing hashtags if they are directly relevant to the subject of its posts but this should not be taken as endorsement of any kind.

Availability

X (Formerly Twitter) may occasionally be unavailable and the NTMA accepts no responsibility for lack of service due to X (Formerly Twitter) downtime.

Abusive or spam posts will result in followers being blocked and reported directly to X (Formerly Twitter).
